I was just wondering...

My apologies, ahead of time, for the randomness that follows...

The other day, yesterday, I was watching television and saw a commercial advertising a CD, that was being sold at Walmart. & Then I was just like, "I refuse to buy a CD from Walmart!" The reason for that being: Walmart self-censoring their cds! & Then the thought came to me..."Why does walmart feel the need to censor rap Cd's, yet they sell dvd's and video games that depict the same violence and "misogynistic" terms as rap music?" I began wondering is it just rap music that is being censored? Or are other musical genres being held to these same restrictions, stipulations...? I couldn't think of the right word to go there, but you get what I'm saying... Has anyone else wondered these things? Or do I just have to much thinking time on my hands?

In all seriousness though, I would like to know the answer to those questions. My mom thinks I should write a letter, but it isn't that serious...just a curious mind wanting to know.

Since I seem to be on my random tip, which has become quite common lately... I went to McDonald's today (sidenote: My mom has been calling it "Mac"Donald's for all 40 years of her life, until I told her today it isn't pronounced that way..lmao, that's no better than me saying "Waterburger" though, instead of "What A Burger" even though I know the correct pronunciation.).. anyways, back to McDonald's.. i ordered a double cheeseburger and forgot to say "plain" , i usually just get it plain so I don't have to worry about the onions or whatever. But, I was so busy making sure my mom ordered my Vanilla Ice Cream Cone, that I forgot (shit, it was hot outside).. & when I get to the house, I notice there are globs of those microscopic nasty ass onions all over my entire burger. I wonder if they have like a mixing pot of them disgusting onions and that ketchup just mixed together, because I can never just order, "no onions".. it's like I have to choose one or the other, how they know I don't want my pickle and shit too? That brings me to this: Why is it that they (restaurants, in general) charge you to add items to your burger (or whatever), but never deduce any funds when you don't get certain stuff on your food? Just as they charge me for bacon and cheese.. I think I should get some financial compensation for my removal of the lettuce, tomato, and onion from my damn burger. Cheap Bastards.

Well, that was my semi-rant & question for today. I'll probably have some real shit to talk about sooner than later, since I am heading back to College on Wednesday. It's comical to think they actually refer to it (college) as the "best years" of your life.. when so far, these years have been the most petty and drama filled year, not even years, of my life...thus far. If these are the best years of my life, I seriously don't have much to look forward to...*knocks that attitude..reminder to self: be positive!*

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://lavishcharm.blogspot.com/2007/08/my-apologies-ahead-of-time-for.html' title='Is Walmart only scrutinizing Rap Music? I already have a journal where I write (well, type) about the random adventures (or lack there of) in my life. I guess, my purpose for this journal will serve as a place for me to rave & rant about all the important or not-so-important occurances in my life, the media, and other "random" outlets. I figured, having a public journal I would be able to reach out to a broader, and not so limited audience than what i'm confined to on my livejournal. Well, that is about it, as far as this entry is concerned.

jumped on the bandwagon.

the title basically sums up this entry. & this will be deleted shortly, it's only here so that i can see what my entries will look like.
